DescriptionPURPOSE OF THE JOBProvide a Security service and function at relevant operations, backed by quality service delivery, through the establishment of an integrated risk management system whereby security related loss-generating incidents and interruptions are efficiently anticipated, monitored and controlled in an effort to secure the operations against external/internal influences that may cause loss and interruptions.BALANCED SCORECARD PILLARS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

• Continuously Identify and assess level of risk exposures in the area of responsibility by considering security related exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures to control the residual risk exposures (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.).
• Comply with Legislative, company statutes and SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox).
• Utilise the integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, record, investigate, action and report on Security status and incidents.

PEOPLE

• Ensure an enabling climate/culture.
• Maintain labour stability by managing and minimising labour turnover.
• Maintain discipline of contractor staff (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.).
• Assist service provider to ensure and improve performance levels.

CUSTOMERS

• Liaise with operations contract managers
• Implement, monitor and control the security related service and ensure expectations are met with the customerxe2x80x99s reasonable expectations.

BUSINESS PROCESSES

• Conduct data analysis of the Security Integrated Management System and highlight critical areas and incident trends requiring attention in terms of non-conformances and loss prevention.
• Reconcile and audit security related documentation.
• Supervise and assist with the security contractor per operation.
• Facilitate continual Risk Assessment sessions and revisions as and when required.
• Implement and Monitor continual improvement strategy and apply best practices.
• Actively participate in the Simple Safety Systems and use the IMS to capture information gathered during these activities
• Verify and maintain IMS data integrity
• Constantly evaluate and monitor information in the IMS system and notify the responsible person of any trends or incidence of non-conformances
• Conduct Weekly update sessions with Contactor Staff and Supervisors
• Assist with/conduct compliance audits on security activities, support documentation and registers
• Conduct and compile Incident Investigation reports (ICAM)
• Submit Daily update on incidents, investigations and observations to the Security Superintendent / Chief of Security

RequirementsMinimum qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Law Enforcement Certification
• Certificate in Security Management
• PSIRA - Grade A
• 3 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant experience in the Mining security Fraternity
• 1 yearsxe2x80x99 supervisory experience
