Job Description

RPO Recruitment is currently working with a leading company in the mining industry and is seeking a highly skilled SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Superintendent to join their team in the North West province.As the SHEQ Superintendent, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety, health, environment, and quality strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. You will work closely with the management team and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement SHEQ strategies, policies, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality regulations and standards
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
• Develop and deliver SHEQ training programs for employees
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Relevant degree or diploma in Safety Management, Environmental Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a SHEQ role within the mining industry
• Knowledge of safety, health, environment, and quality regulations and best practices
• Proven experience in developing and implementing SHEQ programs
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Audit and Incident Investigation qualifications will be advantageous
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
