Minimum Requirements

Education:

Grade 12 / Matric.

Experience:

Minimum of one year working in a warehouse environment.

Skills & Competencies:

+ Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a cold storage environment for extended periods. Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Loading & Inspection:

Inspect all pallets received from the holding room or chiller container to ensure they are in good condition, without damages, shortages, or extra cases. Ensure that all trucks are thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and sanitized before loading begins. Adhere to the FIFO (First In, First Out) standard during loading processes. Complete all relevant check sheets daily to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow all health and safety rules and company policies at all times. Maintain compliance with loading SOPs, cold storage SOPs, and cold storage checklist systems. Promptly report any damages to structures, forklifts, or reach trucks as soon as they are detected. Report any unsafe hazards or actions immediately when identified.

Equipment Handling:

Operate and handle Doc Levellers, Outbound Scales, and Scanners appropriately. Ensure proper maintenance and care of all company property.

Communication & Reporting:

Maintain good working relationships with all employees. Report all misconduct, breaches of the company code of conduct, or non-compliance issues to the relevant authorities. Follow and obey lawful instructions from seniors.

General Duties:

Assist with stock takes and pack-out activities as required. Work overtime when necessary to meet operational requirements. * Adhere to personal hygiene and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements.
