SHIFT FOREMANMinimum Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years metallurgical experience as a Shift Foreman in crushing, milling, flotation, CIL and smelting.
Valid certificate of physical fitness.
Computer literate (Excel, Word etc.)
Valid first aid certificate or be able to obtain immediately
Able to read, write and communicate in English
Able to communicate with people on different levels
Be willing to be subjected to security clearance through polygraph testing
Have a clear disciplinary record

Main Role Outcomes:

Manage subordinates which includes shift handovers, timesheets, log sheets, over inspections and employee relations.
Analyse process and maintenance information.

Develop subordinates by continuously improving the knowledge of team and conducting on the job training.
Plan activities in accordance with production and maintenance schedules and allocate resources as required.
Liaise and synchronise plant maintenance schedules/activities with engineering sections
Continuously monitor process efficiency parameters to prevent diamond damage or losses
Manage working cost budget.
Ensure adherence and implementation of Security and SHE policies and procedures
Work according to the Mines Code of Practice, and report any observations of this being

done.

Willing to work shifts, do overtime, standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise.
