Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Silo Bag Depot Manager to oversee the daily operational efficiency of their depot in Marquard. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for plant, equipment, and facilities.

Marquard is a silo bag depot located in the Free State Province. With a robust presence in the local community, the depot can store an estimated 80,000 tons of products, mainly maize. Embracing technology, the depot is well-equipped with state-of-the-art dryers, material handling, and grading equipment to ensure seamless operations. The aim of the Marquard Depot is to provide optimal service to its clients through innovation and adaptability, realizing quick delivery and collection times.

Requirements:

• Basic Qualification: Agricultural Tertiary qualification
• Certification:

• Fumigation
• Grading of maize, soya, sunflower, and wheat
• Health and Safety accreditation

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a silo bag depot manager
• Strong operational background, demonstrating agility and multitasking capabilities
• Likable and relatable person with excellent staff management skills
• Proven track record in preventative maintenance and efficiency mindset within an agricultural environment
• Proficiency in ground preparation, bags layout, and measurement
• Solid administration skills, including regular reporting to head office in Stellenbosch
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills, capable of self-management
• Understanding of risks in the Agri-environment, with a focus on Maize, Soya, Sunflower, and Wheat.
