Job Description


Mission:Responsible for gathering and ordering all the cost information coming from the cost owners involved in the site activities.Control project cost progress and deviations related to the site scope based on the budget in compliance with site progress.Identify and quantify variations, scope change managementEvaluate contractors' claims and review/quantify contractors' back-charges (NCs)/contract-chargesResponsible for following up the budget objectives for the site scope, preventing, analyzing and reporting periodically possible deviations and proposing mitigation plans for risksReport cost, cash-flow and financial status of the site scope of the project. Must have sound knowledge of the contractual conditions (commercial and technical) with subcontractors and assist the Site Manager and PM on the contract management.Manage and record of any financial instrument, such as Bonds, Insurance or similar from subcontractors in alignment with the Contracts Manager, and on its absence, the Site Controller shall manage it entirely.

  • Functions:
Initial budget study and communication of possible deviations * Understand the ERP system. Interpreting accounts, codes, workflows and processes and generating Purchase Requisitions in JDE/SAP
  • Identifying relevant changes and additional costs through daily coordination with the other departments on site,
  • Coordination with site planner with the schedule, aligning the project physical progress and the cost progress analysing financial data and recommending plans.
  • Preparation and tracking of running cost (personnel, offices, warehouse), recording over-expenditure/deviations and details there of
  • Produce weekly reports on cost advances and critical points, analyzing deviations from the initial budget providing management with precise information regarding the status of the works.
  • Invoice control and approval/qualification in coordination with the finance department, keeping track of possible delays in payments and approvals that might affect site activities.
  • Cash-out development and control.
  • Risk tracking and take over while project execution.
  • Project Closure report (related to site activities), including margin results, cost performance indicators and cost, including the development of the contracts during execution.
  • Anticipate and assistance on contractual Notifications to subcontractors and assistance to PM on contractual commercial topics with the customer
  • In the absence of a project Contracts Manager, the Site Controller shall take full responsibility

Experience
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in cost controlling and/or contract management
  • Experience in procurement operating/ERP systems
  • Claims and notification administration
Required certificates and training
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Quantity Surveyor, or related discipline.
  • Internal IT systems and tools e.g.; SAP; JDE; BIC; Upvise; ServiceNow; Campus; NX Translator; etc.
  • Cost control instructions and procedures
  • Basic assembly processes
  • Safety-Walk & Talk training
  • Quality process on Nordex construction sites
  • Travel costs & expenses
