The role involves overseeing and leading project management, asset lifecycle management, equipment performance, safety, and environmental stewardship. This position requires a blend of technical and managerial skills and excellent communication and organisational abilities.REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelors/ BTech degree in engineering or equivalent
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience
• Trade-tested artisan is advantageous
• GGC (factories), or working towards, is highly advantageous
• Six years of experience in leading technical teams
• Eight years of experience within the FMCG Industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeframe successfully
• Structured problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in engineering
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and objectives.
• Ensure timely and successful project delivery, adhering to scope, budget, and timeframe constraints.
• Develop and implement engineering processes and best practices to streamline workflows.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment to encourage knowledge-sharing and professional growth.
• Manage and optimise resource allocation to maximise efficiency and productivity.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance, resolving technical challenges and driving innovation.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
