Minimum of 15 years' experience in the civil engineering industry
(Road layer works and Kerbs, bulk earthworks, stormwater, and sewer reticulation)
Minimum Requirements and KPAs
Diploma/BTech in civil engineering.
Registered with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Project Manager or Professional Construction Manager.
Or registered with ECSA as a Professional Civil Engineer, Technologist, or Technician.
Own vehicle will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
Ability to manage project activities simultaneously with a constant eye on quality.
Knowledge of the civil engineering code requirements and scheduling methods.
Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.
Preparing and submitting construction project budget estimates.
Coordinate the quality control programs with the assistance of the Quality Assurance Manager.
Preparing progress reports and issuing progress schedules to the Contracts Manager.
Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks throughout the company.
Hiring and supervising the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.
