The Site Project Manager (PM) will assume total accountability for effective leadership and profitable delivery of the EBOP Windfarm Project. Successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring delivery on time, customer satisfaction, mentoring and motivating project teams through guidance for their full potential and creating a culture of excellence, safety and continuous improvement.Job descriptionKey Performance IndicatorsThe Site Project Manager will be fully accountable for managing and controlling all aspects of the project.Financial

  • Driving project delivery through people, plant and planning. Managing scope and procurement, whilst ensuring that production and quality is maintained. Accurate reporting.

  • Maintaining and reviewing a project risk register.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure understanding, management and administration of the contract
  • Ensure that progress, delays and any other events, which might influence the program and costs are communicated timeously to Management
  • Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources
  • Submit and manage monthly progress payments to the client
  • Minimise exposure and risk by implementing audits of safety standards and quality assurance controls
  • Coordinate work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project
  • Oversee performance of all trade contractors and reviews all issued drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed
  • Ensure proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Supervise team, reviews their reports, checks on any reported difficulties, and correct any safety violations or other reported deficiencies
  • Track and control construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocated
  • Manage day to day operational and tactical aspects of the project
  • Accurately forecast revenue, profitability and project costs
  • Proactively identifies changes in project scope and ensures appropriate measures are taken
  • Integrate process between subcontractors, suppliers and construction team
  • Develop and execute a procurement plan
  • Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project
  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress as well as safety and quality standards and implementations
Minimum requirementsCompetency ProfileQualifications :
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent B-Tech
  • A project management qualification
  • SACPCMP Certification advantageous
  • Construction Regulations Certificate
  • This is a site-based role
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years Project Management experience in a relevant site-based industry, with at least 5 years Renewable Energy experience, EBOP Windfarm construction required.
  • Experience of Project Financing Process and Requirements
  • Previous experience of managing projects through the financial, planning, procurement and construction processes
  • Experience of managing of minimum 100 staff members
  • Administrative skills (MS Projects, Word, Excel, Power Point & JD Edwards)
