Site Supervisor - Cape TownFull job descriptionN6 or National Diploma or higher in Quantity Surveyor/Construction Management/ Built Environment Qualifications(s)Experience & Skills Requirements:A minimum of 3 - 6 years proven experience in facilities management, construction, or a related roleKnowledge and experience with General Building MaintenanceKnowledge of National Key Point facility regulations (advantageous)Must have excellent computer skillsStrong project management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to cope well under pressureValid drivers licenceJob SpecificationsDuties & Responsibilities:Conducting routine inspections and servicing of maintenance.Implementing the preventative maintenance plan.Manage workshop and tools.Maintaining and conducting general maintenance.Housekeeping and managing of safety standards within department according to the OHS Act, relevant legislation, and codes.Work closely with the General Building maintenance Team on various technical matters.Prepare orders and obtain authorization from the End-user and Project Administrator for purchasing of materials (Procurement of Materials).Ability to use work order system.Conduct quality audits of all the Airports facilities before inviting the client for approval (Quality Control and Checks).Conduct airport walkabouts and compile snag lists.Assist Project Manager in implementing snag corrections or renovations and report back to the Project Manager.Monitor maintenance work logged for snags at various facilities within the Airport.Visit sites to measure up and do snags when necessary.Arrange and attend meetings with suppliers, employer, and maintenance team.Take minutes of meetings.Provide progress updates to the Project Administrator or the Project Manager and/or Executive Management on a Weekly and Monthly basis.Manage and liaise with the client.Maintain the filing system of documents and plans.
