Incumbent required with excellent maintenance knowledge and >10 years experience in snr management capacity,POSITION INFO:We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Factory Manager.A large manufacturing concern and part of a listed group, leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Snr Factory Manager.Minimum degree required (Electrical; Chemical; Mechanical or Metallurgical)You will be expected to work hand-in-hand with the of the organization to ensure optimal productivity.Seeking an energetic, goal & career-orientated individual. Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical/Metallurgy required. A solid traceable career history is required. This is a demanding but rewarding role with excellent career opportunities. • Highly market-related salary / depending on your qualifications, experience, knowledge, and skill set. R1m - R1.7m)
• Profit share 0.75% EBIT BU + 0.25 EBIT from 7 Factories (r0.0 - R2.5m)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support CEO in operational management and team development of the factory
• Excellent maintenance skills required
• Recruitment, training, and development of personnel
• Asset preservation through the development, implementation, and management of effective systems
• Develop and implement best practices in all areas of the factory
• Being a credible leader that develops and guides operational teams and individuals in achieving targets
• Driving continuous improvements and waste elimination to reduce costs and improve quality
• Product development to ensure sustained fashionable and value-for-money product ranges
• Project management of capital projects
• Development of new products and technology
• Financial control of factory costs
• Safety and risk management in terms of legislation
• Sourcing of new local and international suppliers
• Identification and development of future leaders in the business
• Ensure the factory is focused on agreed key performance indicators

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical / Metallurgist) or equivalent.
• Previous Millwright / Electrical Qualification will be advantageous but not a necessity.
• Excellent Managerial Skills
• Min 10+ years solid & traceable track record in a similar position.
