Closing Date: 07/06/2024Purpose:To provide thought leadership to ensure appropriate solutions are in place for learning/training initiatives that promote a learning culture and building capability.Key Responsibilities:Boost organisational capabilities:Develop a comprehensive training strategy for the OpCoIdentify development needs within the organization and design the best blended learning solutionsAlign the delivery of development solutions to relevant competency frameworksSupport business leaders to identify functional development needs and identify various solutions to meet these needsOversee the implementation of various technical training within the businessContent Management:Ensure development of high quality content, relevant to business needs while incorporating internal and external best practicesEnsure that employees have access to best in class skills, tools and processes necessary to deliver outstanding service and to meet business objectivesEvaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedbackAssesses training materials prepared by instructors.Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and developmentCollaborate with the Talent team on coordinating career day & career fair eventsFacilitate internal training where requiredManage bursary scheme:Facilitate annual announcement of bursary openingCompile allocation recommendation and facilitate approval meetingAct as a trusted advisor and mentor and partner with the Managers and junior professionals to develop relevant career development pathsWork closely with internal and external partners to operate a 'best-in-class' Learning programCompliance & Reporting:Work with manager, group managers and professionals to determine training and development needsLead skills and competency trainingEnsure compliance on skills development requirementsFacilitate timeous submission of WSP/ATRManage mandatory grants applicationsManage learnerships and ensure implementation of plansPlay a key role in providing ongoing management to the learners & graduates to include conducting performance reviews, participating in review committees and promotion decisions, and determining individual compensation recommendations in partnership with group headsProvide quarterly training reportsOversee MyHR utilization:Drive completion of all mandatory e-learning programsEmbed a learning culture of utilizing internal platformsFacilitate internal training where requiredManage learning budget:Offer cost effective learning solutions with allocated budgetEducation & Experience:A post graduate degree in Training/ Human Resources or equivalentSolid knowledge of Skills Development & BBBEE legislationsProven knowledge of developing learning solutionsProvide thought leadership, advice and guidance to key stakeholders on relevant learning solutionsGood working knowledge of office systems such as PPT, Word, Excel, SAPThe Company's approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
