  • Implements Safety Programs.
  • Participates in disciplinary hearings in conjunction with HR with regards to Health and Safety issues.
  • Compiles & disseminates promotional/awareness materials with regards to SHERQ.
  • Maintains/checks maintenance of the SHE system in operational areas for relevance, completeness, and legal compliance, as well as compliance with KSA policy.
  • Checks that technical staff working in the field have the correct & standard safety items, such as PPE's, specialised requirements, signs etc.
  • Coordinating the ordering of PPE's and specialised supplies from vetted Suppliers according to the financial procurement procedures.
  • Coordinates the booking of medicals with service providers for operational staff & staff working on operational sites.
  • Monitors work practices/working environment identifying unsafe work practices/conditions.
  • Conducts internal safety compliance inspections.
  • Preparing inspection sheets & Conducting inspections
  • Consolidating & Filing information for collation of regular safety reports.
  • Initiating disciplinary action for serious SHE offences.
  • Completes monthly Health and Safety report
  • Reporting any SHE incident/accident, SHE conditions or work practices that are dangerous or could lead to pollution immediately.
  • Drafting SHE training plan and arranging dates, venues and participants.
  • Planning for external accredited training of SHE staff (e.g. NOSA).
  • Including SHE training for all new employees/apprentices.
  • Plans SHE training for SHE officers, as well as other staff members on a rolling (cyclical) basis.
  • Plans fire drills and arranges and executes fire drills as per schedule.
  • Evaluating effectiveness of SHE training by gaining feedback via training feedback forms.
  • Completes and file induction report.
  • Investigates SHE incidents
  • Visiting place of accident/incident within 24 hours after being informed
  • Arranging investigation of accident/incident in accordance with requirements of the law and relevant procedure
  • Analysing the information from the incidents for identification of risk control measures.
  • Coordinating & documenting the enquiry resulting from an incident.
  • Coordinating medical examinations & information and documenting outcomes for discussion at the Health & Safety committee for decision making.
  • Oversees the compensation claims process.
  • Checking all claims for accuracy and completeness, calculated and resumption reports finalised in order to adjudicate the claims.
  • Maintains files of claim documents (either manual or electronic).
  • Contact doctors and hospitals when medical reports are not legible.
  • Works closely with Occupational Health service provider.
  • Follows up on the progress of each claim.
  • Archives all old Compensation claims.
  • Reports on claim statistics from the Compensation Commissioner.
  • Liaises with customer stakeholders on the requirements for contractors on site.
  • Executes arrangements for contractors on site.
  • Monitors adherence to rules and conduct required by customer.
  • Reports on problems and issues immediately.
  • Arranging and administrating access.
  • Arranging and administrating medicals.
  • Arranging and administrating additional requirements (certifications etc).
  • Liaising with customer SHE representatives, departments, and administrative staff.
  • Checking that all documentation remains up-to-date and relevant.
