The successful candidate will join a dynamic and highly skilled Marketing Team.The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Marketing.
Position OverviewThe Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for executing and optimising content across digital platforms to enhance engagement, brand reputation, and lead generation, contributing to sales objectives. This role involves scheduling and posting content, managing online interactions, and ensuring timely responses to customer queries to support conversions. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in balancing creative and analytical tasks while working within a fast-paced digital environment.
Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Schedule and post content across all social media platforms
  • Respond to and field queries on all relevant platforms to enhance customer engagement and potential sales and customers
  • Participate in & influence social media brainstorming sessions to drive innovative campaign ideas resulting in increased sales
  • Coordinate & monitor email communications and send on designated platforms to drive retention and sales
  • Coordinate and execute SMS campaigns and scheduling via Leadify and other SMS platforms to drive sales and retention
  • Assist with various marketing-related tasks as required
  • Assist with any system required input including dashboards
  • Monitor and respond to customer feedback on HelloPeter and other review platforms to maintain brand reputation
  • Support internal marketing/buzz day initiatives and internal/external events
  • Work closely with the Marketing Administrator and Head of Marketing and extended marketing team internally and externally to Motus for content briefings and updates
  • Monitor and update blog content for the brand to help drive traffic and lead generation
  • Facilitate correspondence of the MH Marketing inbox and any other mail boxes that will be controlled by the marketing team, ensuring timely responses and query resolution
  • Track, review and escalate customer grievances from social media and other communication channels end-to-end
  • Identify and forward leads from social media and digital interactions to the call centre for follow-up and assist in automating these processes
  • Oversee chatbots and WhatsApp interactions, ensuring accurate and timely responses to help facilitate a sale
  • Assist in the design of chatbot flows, ensuring accurate automation
  • Compile and analyse monthly social media, communication and digital reports to assess performance and align with sales goals
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly board packs with relevant insights
  • Maintain a complaints register to track and address recurring issues
  • Oversee all affiliate websites
  • Monitor and respond to Google Reviews to enhance brand perception and customer satisfaction
Qualifications and Experience
  • Matric
  • Marketing qualifications and a degree/diploma would be beneficial
  • 3+ years of experience in social media coordination or a digital marketing role
  • Experience in community engagement and customer query resolution
Skills and Personal Attributes
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
  • Knowledge of customer service and reputation management on platforms like HelloPeter and Google Reviews
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, email marketing, and SMS platforms (e.g., Leadify)
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing analytics and performance tracking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create engaging and conversion-driven content
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset to assess campaign performance and refine strategies
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media scheduling tools
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to digital community engagement
