With offices in Ireland, Gibraltar, South Africa and the Philippines, BoyleSports truly is a Global player within the Betting and Gaming industry.Job Title: Social Media ExecutiveDepartment: Brand & AdvertisingReports to: Head of Marketing_ South AfricaLocation: Cape Town, HybridThe Role:As our new Social Media Executive you will be working as an integral part of the Social Media Team, creating content which supports the ongoing growth of all social channels. You will need a strong social media background with excellent knowledge of sports and betting.This is a full-time role that may at times includes some evening and weekend work to cover live sports and key sponsorships.Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating detailed social calendars in support of key sports events, tournaments, and fixtures.
  • Supporting the growth of Gaming related products by creating a detailed Gaming calendar.
  • Creating engaging and entertaining original content, both written and visual.
  • Creating live reactionary content alongside planned content to complement overall marketing campaigns and strategy.
  • Stay up to date on current events and have the ability to creative engaging content tapping into topical discussions related to sports and gaming within South Africa.
  • Creating concepts for BoyleSportsxe2x80x99 social campaigns ensuring the company stands out from competitors.
  • Managing BoyleSportsxe2x80x99 social media channels including daily Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, and other social media platform activity adhering to brand tone of voice.
  • Managing and curating content from external contributors and brand ambassadors.
  • Off-site live social coverage and video capture of BoyleSports sponsored events which may include travel.
  • Community management across Meta, X, Instagram, Tik Tok and other social media platforms.
  • Provide monthly competitor reviews identifying trends, offers, promotions available at competitors which should be considered by BoyleSports.
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports looking at channel performance and competitor activities.
Requirements:
  • Experience in managing social media accounts for an online business.
  • Excellent written skills with an in-depth knowledge of sport.
  • Candidate must have a genuine interest in all types of sport.
  • Excellent judge of humour and passion for entertainment.
  • Creative thinker and prolific idea generator.
  • Experience with photo editing software e.g. Canva/Photoshop
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • A marketing and publishing mindset, with the most important aspect being to think xe2x80x9ccustomer firstxe2x80x9d.
  • An excellent working knowledge of sports & gaming products.
  • A passion for new technology tools and usage of those tools.
  • Needs to be continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutions.
