Work set-up: Hybrid (2-3 days in-office), open to Cape Town or JohannesburgOur client in the advertising and marketing industry is looking for a Social Media Manager to be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, engage with audiences, and drive business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong content creation skills, a deep understanding of social media platforms, and the ability to analyse performance metrics to optimize campaigns.What you will do:

• Create and execute comprehensive social media strategies that align with the companyxe2x80x99s marketing objectives and target audience.
• Develop and manage engaging content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Meta, X, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Monitor and engage with social media audiences, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Plan and execute social media campaigns, including paid advertising and promotions, to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
• Track, analyse, and report on social media performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, social media insights, and other analytics platforms. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep the companyxe2x80x99s social media presence relevant and competitive.
• Work closely with the marketing team, graphic designers, and content creators to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all social media channels.
• Represent and advocate for the companyxe2x80x99s brand voice and values across social media platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with overall brand strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or social campaign management.
• Retail and e-commerce experience is required.
• Experience in agency environment is strongly preferred.
• Client facing and/or client management experience is required.
• Proficiency in social media platforms particularly, Meta, X, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Hands-on experience in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret social media metrics and generate actionable insights.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive content.
• Innovative thinker with the ability to generate creative ideas and solutions for social media campaigns.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work independently with little hand holding if needed.
