Social Media Specialist - BalitovilleOur client based in the Umhlali area is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join their team. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for creating and implementing social media strategies aimed at boosting brand visibility, engaging audiences, and driving activity for all clubs to increase awareness and player involvement. This position calls for a creative, data-oriented individual capable of managing and expanding the companys social media presence across all platforms, ensuring alignment with the companys broader marketing objectives and brand identity. Key Responsibilities:Strategy Development:Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies.Stay updated on trends, tools, and best practices to enhance social media performance.Develop and build the companys brand within the industry.Communicate with operations, regional and club managers to develop a close relationship and understanding of the various clubs social media requirements.Continually monitor all SA competitor sites and communicationsContent Creation:Create, curate, and schedule high-quality, engaging, and visually appealing content (posts, images, videos, stories, reels, etc.) tailored to each platform for the clubs.Write compelling and on-brand copy for social media posts and captions for all clubs.Collaborate with design and content teams to produce multimedia content. Community and Club Management:Monitor and engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and reviews from club members /players in a timely and professional manner.Foster relationships with followers, influencers, and brand advocates.Address customer inquiries or escalate them to the relevant departments when needed. Analytics and Reporting:Track, analyse, and report on social media performance using analytics tools.Use insights to optimize strategies, identify trends, and measure ROI.Evaluate and implement media social media advertising. Campaign Management:Plan and execute paid social media campaigns, including setting budgets, targeting audiences, and optimizing performance.Work with external partners when necessary to coordinate campaigns.Manage and update the website and linked in profile.Collaboration:Coordinate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure consistency in messaging and brand alignment.Assist with cross-promotional activities and events.Qualifications:Education & Experience:Bachelors degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist, Social Media Manager, or similar role.Strong portfolio of past campaigns or content (include examples during the application process).Skills:Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or Later).Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite).Basic graphic design and video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Graphic design and copy writing exposure.Good communication.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.Experience with influencer marketing.Creative thinking and the ability to generate fresh ideas.Work Environment:Full-time position, working on-site.Occasional travel or after-hours work for events may be required.If you meet all of the above, please send your CV to hr@pronel.co.za Please note due to high volume responses, only candidates that meet the advertised criteria will be contacted.
