Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a visionary Software Architect to join our team in Durban. This team is the heartbeat of our end-to-end Game Delivery and Configuration ecosystem, delivering an integrated suite of tools that empower studios to create, test, certify, and deploy game content through our streamlined software development lifecycle (SDLC) pipeline. As a Software Architect, you will be the technical leader shaping the future of our platform by designing robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies, including RPA, AI, and agentic workflows.


Responsibilities:
Architectural Vision & Technical Leadership:

Define the overarching software architecture and drive strategic technical direction across multiple product lines. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions. Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential to enhance GTP's capabilities, ensuring our platform remains at the forefront of game technology innovation. Solution Design & Development:

Lead the design and development of complex, high-impact software systems, ensuring they align with the broader organizational goals. Develop detailed architectural blueprints, design patterns, and coding standards that foster consistency and quality across all projects. Guide the implementation of RPA, AI-driven functionalities, and agentic workflows to optimize game production and deployment processes. Technical Strategy & Execution:

Create and maintain a strategic technology roadmap that aligns with evolving industry trends and business objectives. Ensure technical solutions are robust, secure, and scalable by incorporating best practices in cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and microservices architecture. Drive continuous improvement through performance monitoring, code reviews, and iterative enhancements to the software architecture. Collaboration & Mentorship:

Work closely with engineering teams to provide technical guidance, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and technical excellence. Mentor and coach developers, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and shared technical growth. Act as a key technical advisor during project reviews, risk assessments, and decision-making processes, contributing to overall business strategy.
Qualifications:

BSC or Masters Engineering preferable





Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar leadership role in technology-driven environments, with a track record of delivering scalable, high-impact solutions. Deep expertise in designing and implementing complex software systems, with hands-on experience in RPA, AI, and agentic workflows. Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, including containerization and microservices design principles. Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured approach to designing and executing technical solutions that meet both current and future needs. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment between technical and business objectives. Passion for game technology and a keen interest in shaping the future of game production and distribution through innovative software solutions.
