My client, a leading and well known Print Company requires an experienced Software Developer to join their vibrant team in Ottowa South, Durban.

CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position involves custom application/web development. You will experience the freedom of building custom web applications using your own leadership and programming skills. Our web developers are capable of full cycle project leadership including application design input, site layout/user interface and database design/programming.

We are embarking on agile development methodologies, and most of our work is done in a purely agile environment. We use Scrum, continuous integration, and peer reviews on a daily basis, and we adhere to the "inspect and adapt" principle as we seek new ways to innovate.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Maintain and create applications in Microsoft.Net - SQL Server, C#, ASP, MVC, Razor
• Document and report on timesheets
• Identify and solve current and future problems within applications. Ability to adopt an Analytical approach is solving problems; meeting deadlines & using own initiative.
• Keep abreast of the latest technologies and happenings.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Knowledge:

• MVC, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.Net, .Net Core, C#, and T-SQL preferred.
• JQUERY, JSON, REST, Web Services will be an advantage
• Candidates should have proven .NET experience as well as a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Programming.
• Three plus (3+) years of experience with Agile development methodologies
• Three plus (3+) years of Java Script development experience
• A solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years experience
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Ability to communicate directly with peers, managers, and clients while leading development to a completed and successful solution.
• Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of clients timelines and budgets.
• Ability to grow professionally in a highly flexible and fast-moving environment.
• Solid solution design and implementation experience (bespoke development)
