Our client in Ladybrand area requires the Services of a Software Development Manager - (Supplementary Systems: Information Technology).Responsibilities:

• To identify new IT technology opportunities and manage IT software development projects, focusing on the maintenance, development and implementation of modern software systems for the organization.
• Initiate and oversee IT software development projects by evaluating and monitoring business priorities., determining IT priorities and effectively allocating tasks to IT programmes while optimizing IT resources.
• Coordinate and plan IT software development projects, including the approval and finalization of technical specifications.
• Oversee testing and implementation of IT software development projects
• Collaborate with business units on IT software development initiatives.

• Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent tertiary qualification or experience in IT software development
• Background in financial accounting, either through qualifications or experience
• Proficiency in MS Projects or comparable project management tools
• At least 10 years of experience in software development
• A minimum of 3 years in a management role or similar experience in IT Sofware development projects

• Strong communication skills in Afrikaans and English
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities
• Proven experience in developing user and software integration interfaces is essential
• Familiarity with Sofware development in COBOL and IBMi operating system is advantage
• Previous experience in an agriculture business environment is plus
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a team
