Stellenbosch Area - Western Cape: Our client is looking for a Software Product Owner to join the team.Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within the software development industry.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. Experience in market analysis, business process evaluation, and product demonstrations. Packhouse Systems and/or relevant agricultural experience will be advantageous

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS

  • Evaluate and define product features at each development iteration, ensuring alignment with client needs and business goals.
  • Product Backlog Management
  • Prioritize and communicate the product backlog effectively to ensure smooth development progress and timely delivery.
  • Quality Control and Testing
  • Review and validate that the work delivered meets or exceeds client expectations and internal quality standards.
  • Client Interaction
  • Act as the primary liaison between the product team and clients, ensuring clear communication, providing training, and offering ongoing support.
  • Business Process Evaluation
  • Assess business processes, identify requirements, and uncover areas for improvement to enhance product efficiency.
  • Market Analysis
  • Stay ahead of market trends by understanding customer needs, prioritizing strategies, and translating them into actionable development tasks. A good understanding of the competitive landscape is essential.
  • Product Sales Input
  • Lead product demonstrations and follow-up with clients to clearly communicate the products unique value proposition and differentiation from competitors.
  • Software Implementation Project Management
  • Proficient in planning, executing, and closing projects on time and within budget, with strong skills in team coordination, communication, and risk management.
  • Delivery on Timelines. Plan, agree, and communicate realistic expectations for deliverables, ensuring that outcomes are achieved within the agreed timeframe.
  • Development Team Collaboration
  • Foster a collaborative environment with development teams by facilitating regular meetings, feedback sessions, and ensuring alignment on product goals and deliverables. Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical team members to ensure seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
