Lets change the game together.We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg (Hybrid). The role involves leveraging automation frameworks and pre-defined testing tools to inspect, analyse, design, develop, and implement re-usable automated test assets. The aim is to ensure the overall quality of solutions and their architectures while adhering to enterprise quality standards and practices.ResponsibilitiesAutomation Framework & Test Tools:

• Use automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Healenium, RestAssured, JMeter) to develop and execute automated test scripts.
• Focus on Front-End, API, and Performance Testing (NFT).

Quality Assurance:

• Inspect and analyse systems to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Design, develop, and implement re-usable automated test assets.
• Ensure automated test solutions are scalable, reusable, and align with architecture and development standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with Quality Assurance Leads, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to meet client expectations.
• Collaborate with the Core Technical Team to enhance automation frameworks and platforms.
• Discuss low-level designs and functional requirements with QA Leads and Solution Architects to define testing approaches.

Agile Practices:

• Actively participate in planning, estimation, and backlog grooming sessions.
• Contribute to sprint planning, test estimation, and defining acceptance criteria per story.

Defect Management & Reporting:

• Identify and log defects using pre-defined processes and tools.
• Ensure defects are accurately documented to aid root cause analysis and resolution.
• Provide daily testing status updates to the team.

Performance and Retrospective Reviews:

• Participate in retrospectives and showcases to stakeholders.
• Provide technical mentorship to Software Test Engineers within the team.

Continuous Improvement:

• Collaborate with peers and industry experts to apply technical advancements within the organisation.
• Seek opportunities to improve business processes, systems, and models using agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
• ISEB / ISTQB Certification
• Additional course or certification in Quality Engineering

Experience

• Over 3- 5 years of experience in test automation.
• Proficient in Front-End and API test automation using tools like Selenium, Appium, Healenium, and RestAssured.
• Strong experience in Performance Testing using JMeter.
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is highly advantageous.
• Solid understanding of DevOps pipelines and test automation integration.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in Agile environments.
