Job SummaryAs the Solar O&M Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support, managing operations and maintenance (O&M) services, and ensuring efficient solar installations and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Support and Product Management
  • Monitor and review system performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare performance reports and recommend system upgrades or enhancements.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for complex issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials to ensure smooth technical processes.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for product improvements and collaborate with R&D for product enhancements.
  • Manage the lifecycle of solar products, ensuring timely updates and rollouts.
  • Customer Service
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Proactively follow up with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Log, track, and resolve customer complaints or service issues, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, preparing satisfaction reports and identifying areas for improvement.
  • O&M Scheduling & Implementation
  • Develop and coordinate detailed schedules for regular maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Ensure that necessary tools and equipment are available for maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor progress and keep stakeholders updated on task completion.
  • Maintenance
  • Develop and manage maintenance project plans and timelines.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure material availability for maintenance tasks.
  • Prepare completion reports and ensure all maintenance documentation is up to date.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality maintenance outcomes.
What We Are Looking For
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum: Trade Tested.
  • Advantageous: Wiremanxe2x80x99s Licence.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum: 3 years of experience in Solar Operations and Maintenance (O&M).
  • Advantageous: 5 years of proven experience in Solar O&M or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of solar system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with standard operating procedures and technical processes.
  • Experience with customer service and feedback collection in a technical field.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, implementing, and overseeing maintenance tasks.
  • Behavioral Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
