Job Description

As a Solar PV Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and optimization of solar energy systems. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that solar installations meet all technical, environmental, and financial requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about renewable energy and have a strong background in solar PV system design.Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Perform site assessments to evaluate optimal system design, including energy yield analysis and shading analysis.
• Produce detailed technical drawings, electrical schematics, and system specifications.
• Work closely with project management teams to ensure designs meet client needs, budget, and regulatory standards.
• Utilize solar design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope) to create accurate system models and simulations.
• Provide technical support to clients and internal teams during the installation process.
• Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies in the solar energy sector.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience in the design of solar PV systems, including both grid-tied and off-grid installations.
• Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar).
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components of solar systems.
• Knowledge of national and local codes, standards, and regulations related to solar PV installations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with battery storage systems is a plus.
