Role: Solutions Analyst
Salary: R60 000
Location: Cape Town

Join a Multi National team as an IT Manufacturing Solutions Analyst, where you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining, debugging, testing, and supporting manufacturing application software solutions. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, and IT team members to understand business requirements and lead the design and development of technical solutions aligned with business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Support plant operations by maintaining and upgrading equipment and software for manufacturing applications.
Facilitate the connection of new equipment to enhance manufacturing processes.
Ensure comprehensive documentation in Wiki, keeping it up to date with essential information like settings, IPs, and ports for various equipment.
Develop test scripts, conduct integration testing, and create thorough documentation for solutions.
Liaise with the business and business analysts during user acceptance testing, preparing necessary testing documents.
Create and maintain documentation in SharePoint, collecting and organizing information from suppliers.
Manage user accounts, printers, and labels for optimal system performance.
Provide essential support for application functionality, integration, and infrastructure related to MES applications.
Promptly resolve incidents and requests to ensure seamless business operations.

Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in MS SQL database management.
Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems.
Proven expertise in end-user support and testing documentation.
Knowledge of Serial, TCP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol).
Experience in maintenance, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
Capability in the design and development of technical solutions.
Background in application support for Manufacturing applications.
Ability to troubleshoot issues specific to glass production environments.
Proactive research into new developments and options for equipment connectivity.
Experience in supporting day-to-day business operations in an industrial environment, especially in Glass and Metal Production.
