Job Summary We are looking for a Solutions Architect. This role is ideal for someone with 8+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in a Solutions Architecture role, with expertise in Cloud-Native technologies, Microservices, and IT security. You will work closely with engineering, DevOps, and business teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions that align with business objectives.As a Solutions Architect, youxe2x80x99ll be responsible for designing enterprise-wide architectures, ensuring system resilience, security, and efficiency. • Develop and implement technology solutions that align with the companyxe2x80x99s business objectives and technology vision.
• Create scalable, reliable, and secure architectures that meet business needs.
• Establish and maintain best practices, security protocols, and compliance frameworks for solution development and deployment.
• Ensure system resilience with appropriate risk management and contingency plans.
• Ensure solutions support the companyxe2x80x99s products, services, and delivery mechanisms.
• Manage client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Honourxe2x80x99s degree in related field will be advantageous.
• Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are a plus.

Experience:

• More than 8 years of IT experience.
• At least 3 years as a Solutions Architect.
• Proven experience in designing enterprise-wide systems and integrations.
• Hands-on experience in Cloud-Native technologies, Microservices, and IT security.
• Experience in the insurance or fintech industry is highly desirable.
• Strong background in automated testing frameworks, infrastructure as code (IaC), and evolving development standards.

Skills & Competencies:

• Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud computing, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of IT security principles, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to analyse, design, and implement complex technology solutions.
• Strong business acumen and ability to align technology with business goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders, present solutions, and influence decisions.
• Ability to lead teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive technology adoption.
• Self-motivated and eager to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
