Please note that this is a LIVE OUT position.JOB DESCRIPTION:MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be creative and create exceptional food
- Cost and stock control
- Menu planning and costing
- Ordering, receiving and storing stock
- Invoice control
- Management of the kitchen disciplinary procedures, health and safety, fir emergency procedures, etc.
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or formal chef school training, or any other accredited qualification
- 5 Years experience in a 3 / 4-star lodge or hotel that caters to the majority conference and banqueting events
- Must have predominantly restaurant environment experience
- Must be familiar with will all aspects of the management of the kitchen
- Must have good leadership skills
- Must have good communication skills and fluent in English
- Must be able to train and guide staff in all aspects of the kitchen
- Innovative and honest with sober habits
- Take initiative and work independently
- Must have a valid drivers license + own transport
