Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock, handling incoming and
outgoing shipments, and coordinating with both local and international suppliers as well as internal staff.
This role involves working with engine parts and electrical components, ensuring accurate stock control, and supporting the smooth operation of the warehouse.Stock & Inventory Management

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock (engine and electrical parts).
• Maintain accurate stock records in the inventory management system.
• Ensure correct storage of parts to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts to minimize discrepancies.
• Track stock levels and advise on reorder requirements to prevent shortages.
• Label and organize parts systematically for easy identification and retrieval.

Supplier & Procurement Coordination

• Liaise with local and international suppliers to track and expedite orders.
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of parts.
• Check shipments for accuracy and report any discrepancies or damages.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and stock availability.
• Work with the procurement team to negotiate cost-effective supply solutions

Warehouse Operations & Logistics

• Prepare parts for dispatch, ensuring correct packaging and documentation.
• Arrange local and international shipments, coordinating with freight companies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse environment.
• Operate pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment when required.
• Monitor and implement best practices for efficient warehouse operations

Internal Coordination & Support

• Work closely with internal teams (e.g., workshop, service technicians, and sales teams) to fulfil part requests.
• Provide accurate information on part availability and lead times.
• Assist with the issuing of parts for servicing and repairs.
• Support engineers and technicians by ensuring timely availability of required components.
• Health, Safety & Compliance
• Adhere to company health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Follow proper handling procedures for hazardous materials and electrical components.
• Maintain compliance with import/export regulations and industry standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Min of 2 to 3 years in a warehouse or storeman role (preferabally in a generator, automotive or electrical environment)
• Familiary with engine and electrical components used in generators essential
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
