Position Reports to: Director: Prominent Individuals and Related Entities (PIRE)Division: Prominent Individuals and Related Entities (PIRE)Location: Pretoria - Le HaeAdvert Closing Date: 24 March 2025About the PositionThe PIRE Segment is looking for a dynamic, highly skilled, experienced, and results-driven Specialist: Education & Campaigns professionals who are self-motivated, possess sound judgment, and have strong business acumen. These individuals will contribute to our higher purpose and service orientation. Successful candidates should have experience in planning, managing, and monitoring the implementation of education and tax activities, as well as end-to-end processes. They will oversee the operational activities of the team, ensuring targets are met within set quality, turnaround time, and productivity standards, to deliver on approved operational plans and continuously enhance service delivery.Job PurposeTo provide expertise, advice and support in practice formulation and associated best practice improvement tactics, by developing PIRE Segment's Education Plan, facilitate and co-ordinate the implementation thereof, in order to enable tactical translation and operational implementation.Education and ExperienceMinimum Qualification & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Tax/ Accounting/ Auditing, AND 8-10 years' experience in Tax and Tax Education, of which 3-4 years at operational specialist level.
ALTERNATE:
  • Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 15 years' related experience in Tax and Tax Education, of which 3-4 years at operational specialist level.
Job Outputs:
  • Oversee the development, implementation and on-going evaluation and revision of the PIRE Segment's education plan/training framework and strategy.
  • Analyse and review existing tax and trader education materials
  • Provide insights into the development of tax education surveys
  • Conduct tax education surveys
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of outreach & education programmes
  • Manage and review communications and marketing plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation communication & marketing plan
  • Leverage on internal & external stakeholders to organize, oversee and evaluate outreach events
  • Oversee the development of educational publications and online newsletters while managing the PIRE webpage as well as social media
  • Administer tax education programs in public forums and manage in-school programming logistics
Process
  • Establish short, medium and long term plans for implementation of tax awareness programmes.
  • Analyze and make recommendations about improvements to specialist systems, procedures, policies and practices.
  • Contribute to the optimum utilization of org. resources, advising on effective planning and development of area of specialization resource plans.
  • Develop a single practice area in alignment with operational policy and procedural frameworks, and ensure tactical implementation.
  • Draw on own technical or professional expertise, knowledge & experience to identify & recommend tactical solutions to defined problems in practices.
  • Influence and communicate across business areas impacted by practice area to minimize resistance and ensure on boarding of new thinking.
  • Integrate business information, compare, analyze & produce reports to identify trends, discrepancies & inconsistencies for decision-making purposes.
  • Optimize goal achievement through tactical strategy development and optimization of practices, processes & systems across an internal value chain.
  • Plan for value-added, continuous multiple practice and system improvement optimization to deliver on objectives and to enhance tactical excellence.
  • Proactively identify interconnected problems, determine its impact and use to develop best fit alternatives; developing best practice solutions.
  • Translate top-down policy in relation to own practice area and communicate impact to relevant stakeholders.
  • Recommend changes to optimise processes, systems, practice area and associated procedures and execute the implementation of change and innovation.
  • Develop and/or align governance and compliance policies for own practice area to identify and manage risk exposure liability.
