Additionally, the role involves providing ongoing financial intelligence and BI support for tools developed, ensuring seamless end-user access to financial reports and BI analysis for operational decision-making.Job ResponsibilitiesIntellectual Contribution to Financial intelligence:Contribute to the intellectual property on BI financial intelligence and visualization methods, enhancing the organization's capability in these areas.
Providing support and guidance to fellow BI financial developers and analysts, end users as well as the determining of future financial data infrastructure requirements.
Analyse revenue, recurring billing charges, ad hoc charges, financial transactions, commissions related and MNO, FNO data to provide key performance indicators to stakeholders.
Responsible for taking high-level business plans, or requirements and translating them into concrete functional specifications with actionable outcomes that users can retrieve through BI self-service.
The specifications produced will describe how the solution integrates with both the business processes and products, and the existing BI infrastructure.
These specs must then be translated into solutions; these solutions must be tested and implemented and ensure that they have business or financial value.
The implemented solutions must be maintained by the direct reports or the incumbent.
All process changes or business definitions changes will be taken through the same process as new requirements, including project management Analysis.Responsibilities:
Determine current and future business requirements:
Co-ordinate the design, development, and maintenance of financial business intelligence models and tools that drive insights into financial performance and forecasting.
Identify and introduce new approaches to build and manage agility through the team of finance intelligence developers, financial data stewards, and BI analysts. Facilitate professional development focused on financial analytics and governance.
Identify need to upgrade relevant environments, tools or finance visualisations business support systems.
Forecast growth both for products and services as well as overall product and service revenues.
Develop and support interactive platforms on PowerBI to enable financial team to collaborate and provide insights on financial performance, including ARPU (Average Revenue Per User), churn, traffic analysis.
Formulate the required solution requirements.
Capture request.
Document user requirements.
Compile functional design specifications: Design financial BI tools and models based on the gathered requirements (if necessary).
Coordinate requirements: Align financial needs across business units to ensure consistency and integration.
Translate business requirements into financial performance models, reports, and analytics solutions.
Complete truth test.Documentation Management:
Identify the need for a BI finance definition document.
Research information to satisfy the need.
Create the document: Draft financial process documentation, including KPIs, metrics, and model definitions.
Add the document to the Finance BI collaboration site.
File a signed or electronic copy of document.
Revise the document as necessary: Update documentation to reflect new financial strategies, tools, or processes.Planning the BI solution requirements:
Scope determination of financial or non-financial requirements.
