Job Title: Specialist: Financial Analyst (Revenue) x2 - Fixed Term ContractPosition Reports to: Programme Head: Office of the Deputy CommissionerDivision: Taxpayer Engagement & OperationsLocation: Pretoria, BrooklynAdvert Closing Date: 27 February 2025About the PositionWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Financial Analyst Team Lead to oversee a small but highly effective team of financial analysts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in understanding, analyzing, and interpreting financial data provided by outsourced debt collectors. You will help define improved debt collection strategies to drive more efficient outcomes for the organization. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong financial analysis background and leadership skills who enjoys problem-solving and optimizing processes.Job PurposeTo analyse and provide expert advice on the financial outsourced data to enable differentiated strategic collection strategies.Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Finance/Audit/Accounting or similar with 8 - 10 years tax financial analysis experience of which 3 - 4 years is at a junior management level.Minimum Qualification & Experience RequiredSenior Certificate (NQF 4) with 12 - 15 years tax financial analysis experience of which 3 - 4 years is at a junior management level.The following will be a requirement from an experience perspective: * Prior experience leading or managing a team of analysts.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL).
  • Strong understanding of debt collection processes, methodologies, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Job Outputs:Process
  • Analyse and make recommendations about improvements to specialist systems, procedures and associated area's practice. (I)
  • Contribute to the optimum utilisation of org. resources, advising on effective planning and development of area of specialisation resource plans. (I)

  • Recommend changes to optimise processes, systems, practice areas and associated procedures and execute the implementation of change and innovation. (I)
  • Translate top down policy in relation to own practice area and communicate impact to relevant stakeholders. (I)
