Job PurposeThe Specialist Information Management will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and security of SAAs data assets while efficiently handling and organizing data within SAA.The role will be responsible for enterprise data warehouse management functions as well as business intelligence functions such as collecting, organizing, application data development, data mart and report development to inform decision-making and improve organizational efficiency.
Principal Accountabilities

• Develop and implement data management policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, integrity and security of organizational data
• Assist in the design, development, deployment, and management of Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions
• Ensure the Integration of new sources of data into company databases so that it can be analyzed and included in relevant reporting and processes
• Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources
• Develop and implement data management protocols to ensure data integrity and security
• Perform data analysis using statistical techniques and tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Create data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support
• Develop, maintain and optimize databases and data dictionaries, to efficiently store and retrieve information
• Conduct quality assurance checks on data to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data management and analysis
• Assist in the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to support organizational goals
• Provide training and support to staff on data management tools and techniques

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a relevant discipline at NQF 7
• At least 3 5 years proven experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis
• Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages commonly used for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms will be an advantage
