It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!The Learning and Development Specialist for the Clothing Division is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance within the context of the fashion and apparel industry. The role involves working closely with teams across design, production, sales, and merchandising to identify specific training needs, develop relevant materials, and deliver impactful learning experiences that align with the divisionxe2x80x99s strategic goals. The incumbent will also manage and support training facilitators, ensuring that training is delivered effectively and efficiently across the division, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the clothing business.Minimum requirements5-7 years functional experience in HR and training development
Relevant degree (e.g., B Comm / HR Business / Psychology); post-graduate degree advantageousClothing Retail experience
Demonstrated ability to drive the learning and development initiatives across different organisational levels.Experience in leading teams
eLearning design experience and demonstrated expertise in the technical development will be an advantage
Implementation and troubleshooting of web-based training modules will be an advantageCompetenciesStrategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and align learning with business goals.Facilitation: Skilled in engaging and effective delivery of training.Diversity & Inclusion: Fosters an inclusive environment, valuing diverse perspectives.Business Acumen: Understands and applies business insights to learning initiatives.Organizational Agility: Adapts quickly to changing priorities and environments.Motivating Others: Inspires and energizes teams to achieve their best.Living the Values: Models organizational values through actions and decisions.Execution & Planning: Strong in organizing, planning, and delivering results.Key responsibilitiesLead the charge in the successful rollout and ongoing optimization of the Learning and Development strategy across the Clothing Division, ensuring alignment with both industry trends and organizational goals.Collaborate closely with Clothing Operations to identify and address specific training needs, fostering seamless integration between learning initiatives and day-to-day operations.Drive proactive training needs analyses to identify and bridge skills gaps, empowering teams across the division to perform at their best.Align workplace skills plans with the overall business strategy, BBBEE scorecards, statutory requirements, and individual development goals, ensuring compliance and business growth.Oversee the timely and accurate submission of Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports, maintaining smooth administrative processes.Take ownership of continuously creating, revising, and repurposing course content to stay ahead of evolving business needs and industry standards.Facilitate engaging training sessions on a variety of topics, including soft skills, leadership development, and more, tailored to specific business requirements.Deliver impactful learning events, interventions, and programs that directly align with the strategic business and learning needs of the division.Implement and uphold policies and procedures for training interventions, ensuring quality processes are maintained throughout the learning and development lifecycle.Design and deliver training programs rooted in adult learning principles, focusing on employee needs and driving business priorities forward.Employ flexible facilitation techniques that cater to diverse learning styles, maximizing engagement and ensuring the best possible learning experience.Collect valuable feedback from participants, evaluate training effectiveness, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders on the content, implementation, and outcomes of learning events, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Closing date: 28 March 2025If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!Discover who we are
