Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needsAbout the roleWe are looking for a Specialist PMO who will support several business units in the RTP EMEA region. This is a regional role specialising in integrated planning, dependency management, annual planning, and related governance. Working closely with the rest of the Africa and Americas Hub team.Deliver sustainable practices guided by management, structured KPI's, policies, processes and must understand supply chain activities. Communicate reporting trends, findings, and anomalies. Understand and drive corporate business needs and seek to find value and improvements to ensure best practice.Reporting to the Principal PMO, you will:
Promotes understanding of the procurement business strategy and customer's needs as it relates to your team
Ensure the most effective and efficient use of available resources and lead and support change implementation efforts from management
Identify tasks or procedures that could be improved and foster a collaborative environment focused on data excellence
Create solutions that maintain a balance with regards to people, goals, methods, policies and procedures
Provide key insights, risks, opportunities and actions in line with regular governance and cadence that result from the integrated planning process.
Supports aligning the technology portfolio with the broader Rio Tinto Procurement strategy
Manages and tracks performance metrics consistently across regional projects and facilitate virtual collaboration across time zones.
Identify and scope improvements to existing systems and provide systems guidance.
Work closely with multiple stakeholders to understand their requirements
What you'll bring
Degree or Diploma (Commerce, Legal, Engineering)
2-5 years' experience in Procurement, Consulting, Project Management or related field will be advantageous
In depth understanding of Project management methodologies
An appreciation and ability to grasp Commercial Law and Mining requirements.
Familiarity or an ability to quickly understand a variety of supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures
Proficient in English. French language proficiency will be advantageous
Computer literate on MS Word, PowerBi, PowerPoint, Projects & Excel
Experience with database and BI software is essential
SAP and Ariba experience will be highly advantageous
Experience in working within a multi-cultural environment
