AdminReference Number: [[7484]]Grading: Salaried - C2INTRODUCTION:Komatsu South Africa has an opportunity for a Specialist: Procurement to join the Procurement Department team at our Head Office in Germiston. The preferred candidate should have at least 2-4 years strategic supplier management experience.QUALIFICATION:

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • 2-3 Diploma/Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain Management
  • Engineering Qualification will be an advantage
EXPERIENCE:2-4 yearsUnderstand B-BBEE scorecard and reportingSAP experience beneficialStrategic sourcingDrafting and managing contractsSPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:
  • Strategic Supplier management experience
  • Experience of the Government Purchasing Framework will be an advantage

  • Knowledge of financial, legal and corporate social responsibility issues
  • Knowledge of the Mining and Construction environment will be advantageous
JOB SPECIFICATION:
  • Develops resources to assist internal stakeholders in achieving overall financial benefits and savings e.g. new procedures (within policy guidelines), manuals or toolkits
  • Assists with implementing approved procurement policies and procedures
  • Monitors and proactively takes actions in response to market trends in the Mining and Construction Sector
  • Compiles reports on Procurement statistics, savings and continuous improvement
  • Reports back on projects/drives/initiatives and provides metrics
