Role PurposeThe Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, controlling, coordinating and ultimately delivering all the activities related to the implementation of internal cross functional projects across the organization, to ensure that projects are completed in compliance with the necessary standards and specifications. The Project Manager must have a full overview of the project requirements ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget and of high-quality standards.Role DescriptionConsult with internal Customers to develop a scope, project plan and a stakeholder list. Nurture business relationships with staff and Management to ensure cross functional collaboration. Draft a Project Charter / Project Initiation document / Scope of Work Statement with the Project Sponsor. Ensure that planning and implementations of plans gets carried out at the most optimal way possible by continuous engagement with resources. Customize dashboards and management strategies (Risk, Communication, Quality & Configuration) to enable visibility for all involved stakeholders throughout the project. Ensure project sponsor is well informed of any Risk, Issues and Dependencies by regular feedback. Provide timeous feedback on queries and project related issues.Track and manage project requirements during the project lifecycle and incorporate changes to requirements through an established change management process. Contribute to intellectual property by documenting and logging all project information in the appropriate knowledge base - lesson learnt
Implementing the governance framework for all projects which include post implementation review .Ensure all projects are managed and executed as per the Liquid Intelligent Technologies South Africa Project Management Methodology.Utilise relevant templates for Project Management documentation and artefacts
Track basic project costs to ensure that the project remains within set perimeters.Deliver projects as per the scope, schedule, cost and agreed criteria by continuous engagement with the project team. Support the execution of required testing namely process and / or user acceptance testing. Accurately identify, manage and/or escalate project risks and issues to the project sponsor
Ensure that the delivery of task is in line with the project plan by continuous monitoring. Work closely with the business and in some cases external service providers to deliver against project outputs. Lead the project team in and act as the liaison between various departments by ensuring all outputs from projects are of an excellent quality. Lead and facilitate project board and team meetings. Provide regular updates on the progress of the project and provide necessary support to all project stakeholders. Successfully hand over project output for incorporation as business as usual.Comply and adhere with the change, risk and issue management processes and ensure records maintained. Comply and adhere with existing governance processes and ensure all artefacts and project documents are signed-off and stored for audit purposes. Continuously improve on project governance processes and ascertain buy-in from Business and PMO Manager by recommending improvements. Provide status updates as agreed at planning stage, report on risks and issues as required based on impact on the project.
