Job PurposeThis role focuses on account management for the retail, corporate, and government portfolios in the Western and Eastern Cape, new business acquisitions, and identifying all revenue generation opportunities per the airlines commercial strategy.The sole objective is to grow the region in terms of sales revenue, relationships, partnerships, and brand.
Principal Accountabilities

• Responsible for a portfolio of customers: Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Online Tour Operators, Corporate, Government, Tourism and all other relevant partners and customers
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients in the retail, corporate, and government sectors
• Focus on revenue generation, achieve and exceed sales targets, and acquire new business
• Attend travel trade events, functions, workshops, and tradeshows representing the airline as a brand ambassador
• Promote and present all value propositions actively, grow the region from a sales channel perspective, and elevate the brand with an active professional presence
• Implement and negotiate all commercial contractual obligations
• Monitor and implement controls to ensure cost containment and a return on investment for all initiatives
• Prepare and present reports and presentations, and attend to weekly and monthly reporting and planning

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Business, Sales or Marketing at NQF level 7
• At least 3 - 5 years experience in a sales environment in the airline industry, and a thorough understanding of the travel landscape and distribution channels
• Fares and Amadeus GDS knowledge will be an advantage
