Job Description

Directs technical Engineering requirements and procedures to support functional areas within the department through participation in prioritization or alignment of key performance areas to support strategic intent, provision of infrastructure expertise in the design approach in respect of a variety of engineering interventions.
Key Responsibility AreasParticipate in managing procedures associated with preparation and collation of contract documentation and/ or evaluation tender applications for variety of engineering works relating to the department as well as participating in the key strategic projects planning and implementation.
Responsible for infrastructure delivery management within the department.
Participating and supporting as required according to the Municipal Finance Management Practices output plan.
Executives delegated responsibilities in respect of leading professional projects teams from inception to completion and contributes to the identification and development of key professional technical skills.
Responsible for the Occupation Health and Safety requirements across the infrastructure delivery.

Essential RequirementsBachelor of Technology or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
Registration as a Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr. Technologist) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
Valid motor vehicle driving license.
6 Years relevant post registration experience.
Preferred RequirementsBachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) (NQF Level 8)
