Field Service Engineer -
Johannesburg


The purpose of this role is to coordinate the supply chain of packaging materials from customer order to production, delivery & documentation. Also be a point of reference for colleagues and customers alike, ensuring individual goals are channelized towards self & team performance.


Key responsibilities


Demonstrate advanced knowledge & understanding how related items work, as well as how to use different related tools. (e.g. Pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, electromechanics, automation, instrumentation, controls, tools) Execution of audits, inspections, repairs, preventive maintenances and trouble-shooting at customer sites Preparation of technical reports and record any customer complaints and forwarding to the responsible department. Support and coaching of peers & customer staff regarding technical problems and machine operating best practices. Verifying and ordering of spare parts when required with customer approval. Installation of modifications/lines when required. Stand in Site Lead where required Assist customers in optimizing spare parts inventory through collaboration



You bring these skills, experience & education


Educational background Technical Trade Test Technology knowledge 2-5 years Experience in aseptic industry and/or Food strongly preferred English Language Proficiency in written & verbal English is a must. Other Language German/Local Language is a plus
