DESCRIPTIONAre you interested in innovating to deliver Amazon's experience to our customers ? We are looking for a dynamic and talented Senior Program Manager.We are looking for a customer obsession, data-driven, and results-oriented operation program manager to help drive our selection growth in South Africa. This includes monitoring key selection related metrics, identifying inventive new solutions, executing programs to drive selection at scale, and working with cross-functional teams both locally and around the world to achieve selection growth.In this role you will be partnering closely with category management, technology, and program teams to deliver a best-in-class selection to our customers and be passionate about processes and innovation, and navigate in a complex environment with both business and technical aspects. You will lead the development of strategy, drive key business metrics, and develop requirements for innovative technologies for our customers.As a successful candidate, you will have experience managing complex businesses, solving technical challenges, and influencing key partner teams to drive initiatives to completion.You have a strong bias toward data driven decision making and an innate ability to understand how metrics relate to business problems and to each other.You are a program leader who has the ability to communicate priorities and work effectively with stakeholders, including teams across software engineering, logistics, product management, legal, finance, and core retail businesses. You should be comfortable with an high degree of ambiguity, can work across a wide cross section of stakeholders, and relish the idea of solving challenging problems. You will tackle novel, situations every day and given the size of this initiative, you'll have the opportunity to work with Amazon teams around the globe.Key job responsibilities
As Program Manager you will:
1) Drive the expansion of Selection and management of a strategic roadmap involving unique and innovative customer solutions and product diversification.
2) Implement programs to drive selection across business owners. Own the selection funnel, identifying scalable initiatives to efficiently move selection from listing to first sale.
3) Create reports and metrics to demonstrate progress towards goals, provide new insights, and send regular updates to senior leadership
4) Coordinate priorities and projects with central teams, external data providers, and business teams to identify and offer relevant selection to customers;
5) Lead quarterly business reviews with senior leadership, presenting results, challenges and driving meaningful discussions to solve problems;
6) Work with Marketplace counterparts to create and implement the Stores level selection strategy.
7) Make trade-offs by considering the larger picture (e.g., customer experience, financial goals, compliance, legal, brand, public relations, process workflow dependencies, metrics, quality, efficiency, etc.).
8) Deep dive on issues and come up with solutions, creating solutions from scratch for short and long term
9) Operate autonomously; drive forecasts, and handle escalationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree
