Job Description
Our client is a dedicated healthcare practice committed to providing exceptional care to their elderly patients. They are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join their team.Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, injections, assist with scopes, extensions, wound care, bandages, and casts.
- Perform EKGs, urine tests, and other general tasks.
- Schedule appointments with Path Care, Sonars, and Admissions; follow up with patients on results.
- Open new files, coordinate with medical funds for benefits, and manage systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of Workmenxe2x80x99s Compensation Act (WCA).
- Demonstrate sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and take initiative for the benefit of patients and staff.
- Computer literate; experience with Practice Perfect and Med Edi preferred (training provided if unfamiliar).
- Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in elderly care.
- Registered as a Professional/Staff Nurse.
- Computer literate; experience with Practice Perfect and Med Edi preferred (training provided if unfamiliar).
- Good written and verbal communication skills; bilingual in Afrikaans and English is essential.
- Preferably with prior experience in a practice setting.
