Job Description

RPO Recruitment is currently working with a leading mining company in the North West region to find a highly skilled Standards Officer to join their team. As a Standards Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, as well as implementing best practices within the organization.In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders to develop, update, and maintain the company's standards and procedures. You will also be responsible for conducting audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and maintain company standards and procedures in compliance with mining industry regulations and best practices
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with standards and identify areas for improvement
• Ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to the company's standards and procedures
• Provide guidance and support to employees regarding standards and procedures
• Participate in industry forums and committees to stay up to date with changes and developments in standards and regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor corrective actions

Requirements

• National Diploma in Safety Management
• ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 54001 training
• Minimum 5 years experience in SHEQ discplines
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Mine or Processing plants environment
• Extensive experience on the compliance of COP's, policies, procedures, and standards
• Strong knowledge of mining industry regulations and standards
• Experience in conducting audits and inspections
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
