The focus of this position is to plan, organise and coordinate the ordering, receiving, storing and counting of all stock for use in the Hospitals.CRITICAL OUTPUTS
- Ordering and receiving stock
- Actively maintain stock management processes
- Participate in monthly stock cycle counts
- Security and Quality Control
- Stock storage and packing according to policy
- Regularly check that all stock is bar coded
- Ensure integrity of data and that regular price updates acquired is in line with protocol
- Grade 12 essential
- Enrolled Nurse / Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary qualification will be an advantage
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Stock Controller in a hospital environment
- Computer literacy (MS Office, AS400)
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of hospital procedures and medical terminology will be an advantage
