Job Summary Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory management - one of the primary responsibilities is to oversee inventory management. This includes monitoring stock levels, conducting regular physical counts and reconciling discrepancies between physical and recorded inventory. By maintaining accurate inventory records, prevents production delays and reduce the risk of stockouts or overstocking
• Procurement Coordination - Work closely with management team to ensure that materials and other necessary supplies are ordered in a timely manner. they should be able to analyze usage patterns and forecast future needs to create accurate procurement disruptions in the production process
• Quality Control - in the steel industry, maintaining the quality of raw materials and finished products is crucial. the controller plays a significant role in quality control by ensuring that all incoming materials meet the required standards. They inspect deliveries, verify specifications, and coordinate with quality assurance teams to address any issues. This attention to detail helps maintain the integrity of the production process and ensures that only high-quality materials are used.
• Logistics and Distribution - Responsible for logistics and distribution activities. They coordinate the movement of materials and products within the facility and to external locations this includes managing transportation schedules, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. Efficient logistics management helps reduce lead times, minimize transportation costs, and improve customer satisfaction

• Attention to detail - must have a keen ye for detail to accurately monitor inventory levels, inspect deliveries and identify discrepancies. Attention to detail is essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring the quality of materials
• Analytical Skills - strong analytical skills are crucial for data analysis and reporting must be able to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize inventory management
• Communication skills - effective communication is vital for coordinating with procurement teams, quality assurance personnel, logistics partners, and other stakeholders must be able to convey information clearly and build collaborative relationships
• Technical - proficient in inventory management software, data analysis tools and other relevant technologies is essential for modern stock controllers. Must be comfortable using these tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Problem Solving abilities - ability to quickly and effectively able to think critically, evaluate options, and implement solutions to address inventory related issues.
