Job Description
The Role
Our client urgently requires the services of an experienced Stock Controller with a strong knowledge of Pastel and accounting practices, and who understands retail business principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Stock knowledge and stock control experience is essential . Capturing of supplier invoices and booking out of stock to customer invoices or job cards on Pastel. Capturing of customer invoices with the supporting documents, i.e. job cards, bill of materials & manufacturing from salesmen's invoice books/files and offer to purchase documentation. Knowledge of VAT and it's applications in the workplace.
Skills and Experience
REQUIREMENTS:
Someone who is confident, energetic and technically savvy. At least five years' working experience. Ability to converse with customers in excellent English and Afrikaans. Strong Computer skills i.e.: Pastel, emails, Microsoft Office 365. Knowledge of spares advantageous. A people person that can work well under pressure. Must be able to share workload on Saturdays. A social media fundi that can advance the client's footprint in this regard would be welcomed! Someone that can be a role model to other staff members and share knowledge. As this is an urgent position only candidates already residing in the Knysna area will be considered.*
