Job Description

Main Purpose:



Assist the stores personnel in ensuring that stock items are appropriately and correctly managed and binned to minimize shrinkage.

Responsibilities:



Follow-up progress of customer orders on daily basis. Report back to the store's manager any out-of-stock items and /or specials that need to be ordered. Liaise with sales department regarding specials ordered for local customers and the branches [delivery dates and outstanding, overdue items Oversee the receiving and checking of incoming indents [including driving the forklift to offload Draw stock of back orders from reminder picking slip only if the indents have been loaded onto the system. Responsible for clearing the picking slip printer on regular basis and marking off against the continuity. Control sheet [if there are gaps to contact sales for explanation] Generally, assist stores personnel with day-to-day duties making sure that urgent customer orders are dealt with hastily. Contribute to the stores managers efforts in maintaining a high standard of morale, discipline, and urgency amongst the stores staff. Machine repairs - Receiving machines at the Branch for repairs, keeping record of repairs. Dispatching machines to suppliers for assessment, quoting the client once the supplier has completed the assessment, updating clients on the progress of the repair once the client has accepted our quotation, dispatching repair timeously. Stock Counts when required. Despatching delivery vehicles timeously Be ever mindful that our prime objective is customer service. Housekeeping is vital-daily-monthly. Ensure personal protective equipment is worn at all the times and safety equipment is used where necessary.

Performing additional related duties as assigned by the manager.


Qualifications and Experience:



Minimum Qualification is a Matric Certificate / Grade 12 A tertiary qualification will be advantageous Relevant Stores Experience Driver's License Good English, written and spoken. Skilled in coordinating deliveries. Trustworthy. Candidate must be very organized and able to prioritize tasks. Ability to perform duties and deliberate speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision. Candidate must be friendly, personable and able to build harmonious working relationships with clients, co-workers and general public. Ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing scope of authority and protecting confidential information.
