As the company continues to grow, it is seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Supervisor for the Kimberley area to oversee daily operations, drive store performance, and lead a dedicated team. This role is crucial for maintaining exceptional customer service standards, managing store resources efficiently, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.DescriptionDuties:Operational Oversight:Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure store is clean, organized, and meets company standards.
Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, ordering, and merchandising.Team Management:Recruit, hire, and train store staff, ensuring they meet performance standards.
Schedule and manage employee shifts to ensure optimal staffing.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development.Sales and Customer Service:Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and customer service strategies.
Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.
Analyze sales reports and trends to identify opportunities for increasing sales and profitability.Financial Management:Monitor and manage store budgets, including controlling expenses and maximizing profitability.
Handle cash management, including cash register operations, banking, and financial reporting.
Prepare and review financial reports, including sales forecasts and expense reports.Marketing and Promotions:Implement marketing and promotional activities to attract customers and boost sales.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure in-store promotions align with brand strategy.
Track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.Visual Merchandising:Oversee the visual presentation of the store, ensuring that displays are attractive and in line with company guidelines.
Plan and execute store layout and displays to enhance customer experience and drive sales.Customer Experience:Develop and maintain high standards of customer service.
Foster a positive shopping environment through effective team leadership and customer engagement.Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
Maintain health and safety standards within the store and address any hazards promptly.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to store policies and procedures.Inventory Control:Monitor and manage stock levels, including receiving shipments and conducting stock takes.
Ensure accurate inventory records and minimize stock loss through effective security measures.Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and present regular reports on store performance, including sales, expenses, and customer feedback.
Analyze sales data and trends to make informed decisions on inventory, staffing, and promotions.Community Engagement:Represent the store in the local community through events and promotions.
Build relationships with local businesses and organizations to enhance store visibility and reputation.Education ProfileQualifications:

  • Education: Grade 12 is essential. A tertiary qualification in Management, Finance, or Commerce is advantageous.
Experience:
  • Retail Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the retail sector.
Skills Required:
  • Selling Skills: Proven ability to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Store Management Systems: Proficient in using store management systems.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial skills and understanding of retail financial processes.
  • Industrial Relations Knowledge: Familiar with industrial relations practices.
  • Coaching Skills: Basic ability to coach and develop team members.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
