Responsibilities:
Perform administrative responsibilities:
Prepare daily reports and ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork.
Generate internal and purchase order requisitions promptly.
Consistently record all training activities in your area.
Perform stores and inventory control:
Manage inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels within minimum and maximum limits.
Order components just-in-time (JIT) to prevent excess stock.
Lead two stock takes annually with minimal variances.
Oversee receiving, dispatching, issuing, and returns of consumables and components.
Check all received items for quality and integrity, addressing non-conformances per ISO return procedures.
Ensure components are neatly packed, clearly marked, and easily traceable.
Report low stock levels to management.
Ensure the stores and surrounding areas and area of responsibility is kept neat and tidy at all times.
Health and Safety:
Monitor and maintain a safe work environment for staff at all times.
Attend safety meetings regularly.
Complete safety checklists and documentation promptly.
Ensure all staff consistently use proper safety equipment.
Ensure compliance with all organizational and legal safety obligations.
Employee Management:
Supervise and manage employee performance, delegating responsibilities and duties.
Provide in-house training, guidance, and support.
Motivate employees, offering constructive feedback on performance.
Develop and manage employee succession and personal development plans.
Handle disciplinary issues in accordance with internal procedures.
Requirements:
National Senior Certificate.
At least 3 to 5 years in a relevant production stores environment.
Skills/Competencies:
Leadership and supervisory abilities.
Strong analytical skills.
Reporting expertise.
