Job Summary Our client, a renowned Corporate Insurance Firm, is on the lookout for a Strategic Account Manager to drive business growth within the Commercial Insurance Sector. Your role as the strategic account manager is to provide specialised information and services in the area of specialisation to a portfolio of clients. Responsibilities: Responsible for delivering on the agreed plan for the business unit/ area of specialty in line with the clients strategy. Responsible for leading, developing and improving the day to day client relationship of high premium clients and within the scheme. Responsible for a portfolio of client accounts. Manages and coordinates all related activities including building a "client profile" of risks and needs analysis. Structures an insurance programme to meet the needs of clients including: producing client documentation. leading or contributing to renewal meetings. leading or contributing to fee negotiation. Responsible for leading the tender processes (where applicable) within the area of specialty. Responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability including fee negotiation. Responsible for analysing and interpreting the markets/ relevant industries for competitive advantage and emerging opportunities. Responsible for compliant dealings with clients. Upholds development of new business either with existing or new clients identifies opportunities for increasing revenue and follows up appropriately. Coordinates for teams of Client Service Advisors/ Client Managers to ensure client service standards are met. Responsible for managing financials for a portfolio of clients and/ or for area of specialty. Responsible for all technical advice and/ or related training within the area of specialty. Qualifications: Be in a possession of a bachelors degree. Have an insurance related tertiary qualification. Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act. Must be registered as an associate with the IISA. Experience: Have a minimum of 15-year relevant experience within the insurance industry Have significant related experience. Proven record of achievement in the provision of risk management and insurance solutions across the full spectrum of business enterprises in South Africa.
