Job Summary Key Areas of Responsibilities Responsible for delivering on the agreed plan for the business unit/ area of specialty in line with our client's strategy Responsible for leading, developing and improving the day to day client relationship of high premium clients and within the scheme Responsible for a portfolio of client accounts Manages and co-ordinates all related activities including building a "client profile" of risks and needs analysis Structures an insurance programme to meet the needs of clients including o producing client documentation, o leading or contributing to renewal meetings and o leading or contributing to fee negotiation Responsible for leading the tender processes (where applicable) within the area of specialty Responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability including fee negotiation Responsible for analysing and interpreting the markets/ relevant industries for competitive advantage and emerging opportunities Responsible for compliant dealings with clients Upholds development of new business either with existing or new clients identifies opportunities for increasing revenue and follows up appropriately Coordinates for teams of Client Service Advisors/ Client Managers to ensure client service standards are met Responsible for managing financials for a portfolio of clients and/ or for area of specialty Responsible for all technical advice and/ or related training within the area of specialty Key Requirements Qualifications. Be in possession of Grade 12 (Matric) Be in a possession of a bachelors degree Have an insurance related tertiary qualification Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act Must be registered as an associate with the IISA Knowledge. Strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals. Knowledge of insurance solutions across the full spectrum of business enterprises in South Africa. Good understanding of applicable legislative environment governing the industry. Working knowledge of risk analysis methodologies. Knowledge of underwriting and claims administration/management, including dealing with complex claims. Skills and Attributes. Good interpersonal skills. Good communication skills. Ability to work effectively in and with teams. Experience. Have a minimum of 15-year relevant experience within the insurance industry Have significant related experience. Proven record of achievement in the provision of risk management and insurance solutions across the full spectrum of business enterprises in South Africa. Experience in financial planning, forecasting and budgeting.
